Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukdar catches virus

Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukdar has contracted coronavirus.

He was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital, Mahbub Talukdar's private secretary Enam Uddin told The Daily Samakal.

He said Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukdar had a fever on Saturday night. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Evercare Hospital at night due to high temperature and poor physical condition. Later he was diagnosed with corona.

Now he is undergoing treatment in the cabin.

Mahbub Talukdar has asked the countrymen to pray for his early recovery.
