187 Covid-19 deaths, 8,772 fresh cases

Bangladesh has recorded 187 Corona deaths and record 8,772 new infections in 24 hours till 8am on Friday, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 16,189.

The total number of people infected with the virus reached to 1,009,315, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 31.46 percent as a total of 27,884 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least 5,755 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.
