Second dose of AstraZeneca in Dhaka from Monday

The second dose of Oxford-AstraZeneca Vaccine (Covishield) will be given in Dhaka metropolis and all districts of Dhaka from Monday. 

The second dose of the vaccine will be given across the country from August 7.

Director of the Directorate General of Health Services Shamsul Haque said this on Sunday in an online health bulletin.

He added that the second dose of vaccine have to be taken from the centre from where the first dose was provided.

Those who have already received the SMS for the second dose, but have not received the vaccine, will be able to get the second dose of the vaccine by showing the previous SMS.

Shamsul Haque said those who have been vaccinated with the first dose of Oxford-AstraZeneca will not be vaccinated with the vaccine of any other company in the second dose as it can cause damage.
