All public transports to be run from Aug 19; tourist spots to be reopened

After being closed due to Corona situation, all types of public transports will be started across the country from August 19

In this regard, a notification was issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday.

It is said that 100% public transport will be able to operate on roads, ships and railways in compliance with the health rules.

Tourism, recreation and community centers can be opened using 50 per cent of the total seats.

"These decisions have been taken keeping in view the socio-economic condition of the country, economic activities and the overall situation," the circular said.

The notification of the Cabinet Division further said that wearing masks should be ensured in all cases and the health guidelines framed by the Department of Health should be followed properly.

It further said that in case of negligence in complying with the hygiene rules in any organization, the concerned authorities will take responsibility and legal action will be taken against them.
