Veteran journalist Toab Khan hospitalized

Toab Khan, a veteran Ekushey Padak-winning journalist and advisor to the Daily Janakantha, has been admitted to the United Hospital in the capital.

He had a heart attack on Sunday night. 

He is currently undergoing treatment at the CCU, according to his family sources.

In November last year, he was infected with coronavirus. Although he was recovered from the corona, he was suffering from various complications after corona.

Toab Khan, who came to journalism profession in 1955, received the Ekushey Padak in 2016. 

After the independence of Bangladesh, he was the press secretary of Prime Minister Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 

Toab Khan also served as the country's chief information officer and director general of the Press Institute of Bangladesh.
