Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar new RU VC

Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar, Director of the Institute of Environmental Sciences of Rajshahi University (RU), has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the university.

A notification of Ministry of Education was issued in this regard on Sunday.

A circular signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education Mahmudul Alam, said that Professor Dr Golam Sabbir Sattar was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the university with the approval of its Chancellor and President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid following the Section 11 (2) of the Rajshahi University Act-1973, for the next four years. He will be on the campus full-time as the CEO of the university.

It is also mentioned in the notification that the Chancellor can cancel this appointment if necessary.
