Signal 3 for maritime ports

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)

has asked the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox,s Bazar, Mongla and Payra to
hoist local cautionary signal number-3.

     The ports have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number
three as a low pressure area has formed over central bay and adjoining North
Bay intensified into a well-marked low over Northwest Bay and adjoining west
Central Bay.

     It is likely to intensify further, said a met office weather bulletin.

     Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining
coastal areas of Bangladesh, it said.
