50 lakh more Sinopharm doses reach Bangladesh

Around 50 lakh more doses of Covid-19 Sinopharm vaccine reached Bangladesh from China early Saturday.

A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying the vaccines, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 2:00am.

Assistant Director of the Directorate General of Health Services at Shahjalal International Airport Shahriar Sajjad and other officials received the vaccines. Once the vaccine is received, it was sent to the repository of Beximco Pharmaceuticals in Tongi for storage.

Dr. Shahriar Sajjad confirmed this information to the media on Saturday morning.

On September 11, 54 lakh doses of the Sinopharm vaccine arrived in Dhaka from China.
