Jhumon Das granted bail in the Digital Security Act case

The High Court has granted bail to Jhumon Das of Noagaon village in Shalla upazila of Sunamganj in a case filed under the Digital Security Act.

A virtual bench of the High Court comprising Justice Mostafa Zaman Islam and Justice KM Zahid Sarwar Kajol passed the order on Thursday.

The High Court order said Jhumon Das was granted bail for one year. At this time he cannot go out of the country, not even out of Sunamganj without the permission of the court.

Senior lawyer Z I Khan Panna and lawyer Nahid Sultana Yuthi appeared for the bail petitioners in the court while Assistant Attorney General Mizanur Rahman represented the state at the hearing.
