50 lakh more Sinopharm vaccines reach country

Another 50 lakh vaccines of Chinese-made Sinopharm have arrived in the country.

The health ministry confirmed that the vaccines arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Bangladesh Biman flight at 2am on Wednesday.

Chief Health Coordinator Abu Zahir received the vaccines at the airport.

With this, a total of 3 crore 44 lakh 50 thousand doses of Sinopharm vaccine reached the country. Of those, 2 crore 14 lakh 70 thousand 648 doses have been given. And there are 1 crore 29 lakh 84 thousand 352 doses of vaccines, including 50 lakh new ones.

The vaccination program against coronavirus was started on January 27 this year.
