25 lakh Pfizer vaccines to reach Dhaka Monday

Bangladesh will receive another consignment of 25 lakh doses of Pfizer vaccine from USA on Monday.

The vaccines will arrive at around 10:15pm at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka from Florida, USA by a cargo plane under the COVAX arrangement.  

Maidul Islam Prodhan, senior information officer of the ministry, said this in a press release issued from the health ministry on Sunday.

US Ambassador Earl R. Miller and Director General of the health directorate Prof ABM Khurshid Alam along with other health officials are set to receive the vaccines at the airport. 

Bangladesh has so far received a total of 36,04,480 jabs of Pfizer vaccines under COVAX facility.
