Currently thinking of school-college classes once a week: Nowfel

Deputy Minister for Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel said that for the time being, there is a plan to take classes in schools and colleges once a week.

He was responding to a question from reporters after inaugurating the newly constructed 'One Stop Emergency Service' at Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital on Saturday afternoon.

Nowfel said that initially the government is mulling of taking classes once a week, but that may change later.

However, even if the educational institution is reopened, everyone must abide by the health guidelines as all of us should pay special attention to control the corona infection, he said.

Educational institutions have been closed for a year and a half due to coronavirus pandemic. 

The Ministry of Education has announced to reopen schools and colleges from September 12 considering the current situation and overall issues.
