3 motorcyclists killed in Sunamganj road crash

Three motorcyclists were killed and three others injured in as a bus hit them in Sunamganj.

The accident took place at Noagaon of East Pagla Union on the Sylhet-Sunamganj Regional Highway at 11:15 pm on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Layek Mia, 17, son of Angur Mia of Kaitak village in Jaua Bazar union of Chhatak upazila, Hridoy Ahmed, 18, son of Jalal Uddin, and Jamil Ahmed, 18, son of Shafiq Mia. 

The injured are Nabil Ahmed,15, Kausar Ahmed,15 and Roni Das,16 of the same village.

Witnesses said a Sunamganj-bound RMP Paribahan (Dhaka Motro B 154613) bus leaving from Dhaka hit two motorcycles while crossing Noagaon, leaving three dead and three others injured on the spot.

Sunamganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Mizanur Rahman, citing the highway police, confirmed the matter and said that the police reached the spot as soon as they got the news of the accident. 

The injured were rescued and sent to hospital. Police seized the bus and arrested the driver.
