Qcoom CEO Ripon arrested

Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) on Monday arrested Ripon Mia, CEO of e-commerce company Qcoom, on charges of fraud.

Confirming the arrest, Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Media) Faruq Hossain toldThe Daily Samakal that DB officials would give details at a press conference at noon.

According to DB sources, well-known e-commerce companies like Evaly, Ring ID, E-Orange and Dhamakar also used to attract customers with tempted advertisements. However, when action was taken against these organizations, Qcom recently closed their offices.
