First consignment of 25 lakh Pfizer vaccines reaches Dhaka

The first consignment of 25 lakh doses of Pfizer vaccine made by Pfizer-BioNTech has arrived in Dhaka from the United States under Covax facility.

Maidul Islam Pradhan, public relations officer at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, confirmed that 6,25,950 doses of vaccine arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday night.

Earlier, the government said in a statement that 25 lakh 8 thousand 480 doses of Pfizer vaccine would reach the country in two days.

The second consignment of 12 lakh 56 thousand 580 doses will be delivered at 12 noon on Tuesday and another 6 lakh 25 thousand 950 doses of Pfizer vaccine will be delivered to the country at 11:30 pm in the third consignment.
