Late artist Qayyum Chowdhury's wife dies

Renowned painter Qayyum Chowdhury's wife Tahera Chowdhury has died at a private hospital in the capital. She was 85 years old.

Tahera Chowdhury's younger brother Hasanuzzaman Moni (Judo Moni) told the media that she breathed her last at 1:20 am on Monday.

Moni said her sister was suffering from various physical complications. In the meantime, she fell at home last Friday and got injured. Since then she has been undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in the capital.

Moni further said that Tahera Chowdhury's body will be buried at Azimpur Graveyard after Asr Prayers at Azimpur Chapra Mosque on Monday.

Artist Qayyum Chowdhury died on November 30, 2014.
