15 pro-BNP lawyers to meet law minister

Some 15 senior pro-BNP lawyers will meet Law Minister Anisul Haque to arrange for Khaleda’s release and better treatment for BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the chairperson's media wing, confirmed the matter to The Daily Samakal on Tuesday morning.

 The lawyers will meet the law minister's office at the secretariat at 1:30 pm on Tuesday.

The 15 senior lawyers are: Advocate Joynal Abedin, AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Ahmed Azam Khan, Ruhul Quddus Kajal, Fazlur Rahman, AJ Mohammad Ali, Taimur Alam Khandaker, Masud Ahmed Talukder, Badruddoza Badal, Nitai Roy Chowdhury, Abed Reza, Abdul Jabbar Bhuiyan, Gazi Kamrul Islam Sajal, Mohammad Ali and Omar Faruq.

On Sunday, Ruhul Quddus Kajal, general secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association, wrote a letter to the law minister requesting a meeting with him. He also gave a list of lawyers to the minister at that time.
