Third phase voting underway in one thousand UPs

In the third phase of the ongoing 10th Union Parishad (UP), voting is going on in one thousand UPs of the country.

Voting began at 8 a.m. Sunday and will continue uninterrupted until 4 p.m.

In the third phase, the schedule of one thousand seven UP elections has been announced but the election is being held in one thousand Union Parishads. Seven UP elections have been postponed due to various complications.

On June 21 and September 20, a total of 369 union council elections were held in the first phase and on November 11, some 833 union council elections were held in the second phase.

In the fourth phase, 840 UP elections will be held on December 23 and in the fifth phase, some 707 UP elections will be held on January 5.
