Abul Kalam Azad, Harun-ur-Rashid reelected as Greater Mymensingh Samity Dhaka president, secretary general

Md Abul Kalam Azad, the Special Envoy to the Climate Vulnerable Forum Presidency of the Bangladesh Government and also Commissioner at the Commission on BiodiverCities of the World Economic Forum, has been reelected as the president of Greater Mymensingh Samity Dhaka for the 2022-23 period.

Harun-ur-Rashid, Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Bangladesh Police and also Joint Police Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, has also been reelected as secretary general of Greater Mymensingh Samity Dhaka.

The new committee was announced at the Biennial General Meeting and Election of Greater Mymensingh Samity Dhaka on Friday afternoon at its office in the city’s Mirpur 14.

Abul Kalam Azad, president of the Greater Mymensingh Samity and also former Principal Secretary and SDG Coordinator to Prime Minister, presided over the programme.

At the ceremony, Abul Kalam Azad urged concerned all to work for the betterment of people of greater Mymensingh through this platform. He also made call to take training on IT short and diploma courses from the Greater Mymensingh Samity Dhaka Computer Training Centre free of cost and play a great contribution to the society. 

He hoped that advanced courses like Block Chain, Internet of Things (IoT) will be provided from this training centre in the near future for the students of greater Mymensingh.

Greater Mymensingh Samity Dhaka worked for the overall welfare and development of the districts of Jamalpur, Sherpur, Tangail, Kishoreganj, Netrokona and Mymensingh.
