Commuters suffer due to torrential rains in city

The cyclone 'Jawad' in the Bay of Bengal has weakened to a low pressure before it reached the coast. It is expected to cross the Odisha coast of India by midnight on Monday, the Meteorological Department said.

As a result of this depression, it is raining over large areas of Bangladesh and India. The city dwellers are suffering due to continuous rain in the capital. The torrential rains since morning have caused waterlogging on various roads, which has further aggravated the suffering of the people.

The Meteorological Department said that rain is likely to continue in most parts of the country on Monday. However, the sky will be clear in most parts of the country from Tuesday. As a result, the temperature may decrease and the feeling of winter may increase.

Meteorologist Abdul Mannan of the Meteorological Department told the media that cyclone Jawad had weakened and turned into a deep depression. As a result, it may rain in most parts of the country on Monday.
