Fire service launch new hotline number

Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence has launched a new hotline number to provide all kinds of fire-related information, including emergency service.

The new number 16163 for its central control room in Dhaka came into effect from on Tuesday, said the officials.

At present's 11-digit phone number will be active.

Emergency service of fire service can be obtained directly by dialing the hotline number 16163 from any telecom operator.
