Sinha murder case verdict on January 31

It will be known on January 31 whether 15 accused, including former Teknaf Police Station OC Pradeep Kumar Das, will be convicted in the murder case of retired Army Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan.

Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judge Md Ismail will announce the verdict of the case on that day.

Public Prosecutor Faridul Alam said the judge fixed the date of the verdict after presenting arguments of the state and the accused on Wednesday.

Prosecutor Faridul Alam said senior lawyer Rana Dasgupta presented an unfinished argument in favor of OC Pradeep on Wednesday.

Retired Army Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed was shot dead by police at the APBn checkpost at Shamlapur in Baharchhara Union on the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive road on the night of July 31 in 2020.
