Spring, Valentine's Day come together with beauty, colour

Pohela Falgun was celebrated on Monday in together with Valentine's Day.

Pohela Falgun, which used to be celebrated on the 13th of February every year, was switched to the 14th due to a change in the Bengali calendar last year. 

Nonetheless, a few city dwellers were celebrated ringing in the new season a day early.

The city has been engulfed in a sea of flowers, and people across the country are celebrating the day with a variety of activities.

Florists who have suffered losses as a result of the epidemic are taking advantage of these opportunities to make up some of their losses.

To celebrate the two dates, television channels are airing a variety of TV series and telefilms.

This year's festivities have been tempered a little by the pandemic's third wave, which is inflicting havoc. That, however, could not dampen people's spirits.

Only a few people were observed wearing masks or following health standards as people from all walks of life gathered around restaurants and parks to celebrate the day.
