Prime suspect of gang rape of teenager arrested

RAB arrested Monir Hossain Shuvo, the prime suspect of the gang rape of a teenager, after abducting her from Dhaka’s Lalbagh area on Saturday.

Khandaker Al Moin, RAB’s legal and media wing director, said on Thursday that a team of RAB arrested him from Lalbagh area in the city.

RAB will hold a press conference later in the day in this connection. 

When she fell ill after the rape by two people for five days, the rapists left her in the Dhaka University area and fled. Later, a woman rescued him in critical condition and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Wednesday.
