Two motorcyclists killed in airport road crash

Two motorcyclists were killed as a lorry hit their motorbike near the Golechattar on Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Road late Wednesday night. 

The dead are identified as Kajal Rekha, 35, and Rafiqul Islam, 40.

The national identity card mentions the address of Kajal Rekha at the South Guran of the capital and Rafiqul Islam’s home is at Azampur of Uttara.

Airport Police Inspector (SI) Jewel Mia said a reckless speeding lorry pushed the motorcycle from behind at around 3.30am, leaving Kajal Rekha and Rafiqul Islam dead on the spot. Later the lorry driver fled. 

Police recovered the bodies and sent it to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
