Online gambling gang smuggles Tk20 crore

Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) has arrested three people, including two agents of an international ring, involved in online gambling.

In the last one year, the cycle has smuggled Tk20-30 crore abroad through online gambling. 

The DB also said that these gambling sites are operated from Russia, Malaysia and India.

The web-based crime investigation team and organized crime investigation team of the cyber and special crime department of the DB arrested them in a raid in Khilkhet area of the capital on February 19.

The arrestees are Tariqul Islam alias Babu, Rana Hamid and Sumon Mia.

During the arrest, a private car, Tk11 lakh 80 thousand in cash, four different models of mobile phones and five SIM cards were seized from them.
