Boro cultivation exceeds target in C'nawabganj

The Boro paddy cultivation target was exceeded in all five upazilas of the district during the current season, with a production target of 2,20,390 tonnes of clean rice set.

The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) has set a goal of cultivating Boro paddy on 49,400 hectares of land, yielding 2,20,390 tonnes of rice.

Boro paddy has already been planted on 51,240 hectares of land by the farmers. However, the aim was exceeded by 1840 hectares.

Quality seeds, fertilizers, and other logistic support were also provided to the small and marginal farmers, according to Md. Nazrul Islam, Deputy Director of DAE, Chapainawabganj.
