Commander (rtd) Abdur Rouf recalled on his 7th death anniversary

A commemorating gathering on the occasion of 7th death anniversary of Independence Award winning veteran freedom fighter Commander (rtd) Abdur Rouf, who was one of the accused of Agartala conspiracy case and the founder of PSTC, was held on Sunday at a city hotel. 

Minister of Local Government and Rural Development of Bangladesh Md. Tajul Islam, MP, was present on the occasion as chief guest, said a press release.

Dr. Md Golam Rahman, former chief information commissioner of Bangladesh, chairperson of PSTC, and also editor of The Daily Ajker Kagoj chaired the programme.

Former secretary of Bangladesh government and vice chairperson of PSTC ASM Mahbubul Alam, treasurer of PSTC Gitali Badrunnesa Hasan, Executive Director of PSTC Dr Noor Mohammad, dignitaries from different donor agencies, international and national partner organizations, family members, well-wishers and staff members of PSTC were also present on the occasion. 

Tajul Islam remembered the great contribution of Abdur Rouf to the people of Bangladesh. 

He thanked PSTC for organising such a commemorating programme for the worthy people like Abdur Rouf.

Abdur Rouf founded PSTC in 1978 in a bid to improving the quality of life for the distressed people of Bangladesh.
