Govt plans to vaccinate 3.25 crore people on Bangabandhu's birthday

The government will inoculate 3.25 crore people with Covid-19 vaccinations from Tjursday as part of a special campaign commemorating the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation.

The campaign will run until March 31, according to Health Minister Zahid Maleque, who spoke at a press conference at the Dhaka Health Directorate office on Wednesday.

Approximately two crore people will receive their second doses throughout the campaign, while 1.25 crore will receive their first and booster doses.

Zahid Maleque also said that the booster dose can be taken only after 4 weeks of taking the second dose of coronavirus in the country. This rule will be effective from March 17. The booster dose was being given 6 weeks after the second dose of coronavirus vaccine in Bangladesh.
