Five killed in a road mishap in Ctg

Five persons were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a private automobile at Adhunagar on the Chattogram-Bazar Cox's route in the district's Lohagara upazila on Monday morning.

The victims are Muhammad Harunur Rashid, 28, son of late Nasir Uddin, hailed from Amirabad region in Lohagarh upazila, Rizvi Shakil, son of Farooq Jahan, Saiful Islam, Khorshed Ali, and Mansur Ali, all hailed from Chattogram city corporation's Ward 32.

The tragedy happened about 5.30 a.m., according to Officer-in-Charge of Dohazari Highway Police Station Muhammad Sirajul Islam, when two vehicles crashed head-on in the area, gravely injuring five private car passengers.
