92 new COVID cases in a day

In Bangladesh, 92 cases of COVID-19 were reported in a single day, bringing the total number of infections to 1,951,072.

According to the most recent government data issued on Thursday, no additional fatalities were recorded in the 24-hour count, keeping the disease's death toll at 29,118.

A total of 12,111 samples were examined across the country, yielding a 0.76 percent positivity result.

With 67 infections, Dhaka had the greatest number of cases among the eight divisions.

Another 1,114 persons recovered from the sickness across the country, increasing the total to 1,874,880.

According to the most recent statistics, the recovery rate is 96.09 percent, while the death rate is 1.49 percent.

According to a tally by Johns Hopkins University, globally, over 475.87 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus and 6.1 million have died.
