Subway to be constructed to ease traffic congestion in Dhaka: Bridges Minister

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said a subway is being constructed to ease traffic congestion in Dhaka city.

Now the feasibility study for the construction of the subway is underway, he said in response to a question from Didarul Alam of the ruling party in Parliament on Thursday.

‘Feasibility study is underway for construction of subway to reduce traffic congestion in Dhaka city. By February, 95 percent of the work had been completed. Once this is completed, the implementation of the subway construction project will begin soon, subject to confirmation of funding.
