Acute traffic jam in capital due to clashes in New Market

Traffic on the busy Mirpur Road has been completely closed due to clashes between students and businessmen in the New Market area of the capital. 

This has affected the surrounding areas, stretching from Mohammad to Farmgate-Karwan Bazar. 

City commuters are suffering much following the clash.

As a result of this clash, the number of public transport on some roads has been reduced. 

People are going to the destination on foot or in any other way. 

Meanwhile, traffic through New Market and Sciencelab areas is also closed. And this pressure is falling on many busy roads of Dhaka. 

Traffic jam was also seen on Bijoy Sarani road.

A long line of buses was seen on the road in front of the Sangsad Bhaban around 9:30 am on Tuesday. 

Each bus was seen to stand for more than half an hour. The situation is almost the same from Farmgate to Karwan Bazaar. 

Clashes resumed around 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday due to the midnight clashes on Monday. 

Sporadic clashes are going on since the morning.
