One held with arms, ammo in C'nawabganj

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a suspected arms peddler in Ranihati union, Sadar Upazila, with three one-shot rifles and two rounds of bullets on Tuesday night.

Md Zamirul Islam, 28, of Nayanshuka Kathaliapara in Chapainawabganj sadar upazila, was arrested.

According to the RAB, an operation team from Chapainawabganj camp launched a raid near Nahala Filling station under Ranihati union at around 9:50 p.m., acting on secret intelligence, and arrested Zamirul with rifles and ammunition.

With a case, the apprehended guy was afterwards handed over to Chapainawabganj sadar thana.
