Foyzul gets life term in a case of murder attempt on Zafar Iqbal

A Sylhet Court has sentenced main culprit Foyzul Hasan to life in prison and Md Sohag Miah to four years in prison in a case filed over the attempted murder of Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology campus on March 3 in 2018.

Judge Nurul Amin Biplob of the Sylhet Divisional Anti-Terrorism Tribunal pronounced the verdict on Tuesday.

The four acquitted accused are Foyzul's father Hafez Maulana Atiqur Rahman, mother Minara Begum, uncle Fozlur Rahman and brother Enamul Hasan.
