Three of the Bibiyana gas field's six damaged wells go operation

Three of the Bibiyana gas field's six damaged wells have been repaired, and gas extraction from the restored wells will begin on Tuesday, according to Chevron.

Rahman said that it is impossible to predict when the remaining three damaged wells will be repaired.

On Saturday night, sand was discovered in one of the Bibiyana gas field's wells and six other wells are connected to this one.

As a result, activities in six wells were halted, reducing gas output to roughly 450 mmfcd.

An investigation would be conducted to determine why gas production was abruptly halted, he added.
