162 Bangladeshi migrants return home from Libya

162 Bangladeshi migrants who had been incarcerated in Libyan detention institutions returned home Thursday morning.

The flight carrying the expats arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka about 11 a.m.

Sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of Consular and Welfare, as well as the International Organization for Migration, told the media.

According to sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Consular and Welfare Department, the migrants were returned to Bangladesh by the help of Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli, Libya's capital, and the IOM.

The expatriate workers are currently at the airport. They may be handed over to the family today, according to sources, after obtaining various information.
