Dhaka College, Dhanmondi Ideal students clash at Science Lab area

Students from Dhaka College and Dhanmondi Ideal College fought in the Science Laboratory area of the city on Saturday morning.

DMP's New Market Zone Senior Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sharif Muhammad Farooquzzaman told The Daily Samakal that the incident happened around 11am in front of Dhanmondi Ideal College but the situation is normal now.

The students took position inside their campuses, he said.

Sharif said, “There were chase, counter-chase and excitement between the students of the two colleges. Upon receiving the news, the police normalized the situation with the teachers. We are trying to figure out what the problem is and additional police have been deployed at the spot.”
