Mother, two children found dead in Belabo

Police have recovered three slaughtered bodies of mother, son and daughter from their home in Babla village of Patuli union in Belabo upazila of Narsingdi.

The deceased were identified as Rahima Begum, 38, her 12-year-old son Rabbi Sheikh and her seven-year-old daughter Rakiba Sheikh.

Officer-in-charge of Belabo Police Station Safayet Hossain Palash told The Daily Samakal that other family members saw the bodies of the victims on Sunday morning and informed the police.

Speaking to Rahima's neighbours, it is learned that Rahima's husband Gias Uddin Sheikh is a painter by profession. On Saturday night he went to work at a high school in Gazipur. At night, in his absence, someone entered the house and killed his wife and two children.

Rahima's brother Nasir Sheikh told The Daily Samakal, "Gias Uddin Sheikh has a land dispute with Renu Sheikh, the son of neighbour Abdur Rahman. On Saturday, Renu Sheikh threatened my brother saying that they will do great harm to my brother. I think he has killed my brother-in-law and two children.”

Belabo Thana Police, DB, CID, PBI, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) of Narsingdi were present at the spot.
