3 injured in chase, counter-chase between BCL and JCD at DU

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) have clashed again on the campus of Dhaka University (DU).

When the JCD men took out a procession around 12:15 pm on Thursday, the BCL leaders, activists chased them. 

At this time sticks were seen in the hands of both the parties and at one stage there was a chase and counter-chase incident took place between the two sides.

At least two leaders of the student group, including a journalist, were injured in the attack, according to media reports.

Tariqul Islam, general secretary of Salimullah Muslim Hall Chhatra Dal was injured while the other's name is not yet known.

During the attack, BCL leaders and activists killed Abir Ahmed, a multimedia journalist at The Daily Campus, and snatched his phone.

On the other hand, Al-Amin Rahman, the private university affairs secretary of the Central Chhatra League, chased a journalist, saying that he was doing it live from the BNP's page.

Currently, a large number of police have been deployed in the High Court area.

Until the last news of filing this report, more than 100 leaders and activists are standing in front of the High Court under the leadership of Dhaka University Poet Jasim Uddin Hall Chhatra League President Waliul Sumon and General Secretary Lutfar Rahman.
