Dhaka-Delhi JCC meeting postponed

The meeting of the Joint Consultative Commission (JCC) at the Foreign Minister level of Bangladesh and India scheduled to be held next Monday in New Delhi has been postponed.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen called on India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at a conference on rivers in Guwahati, Assam. He then told the media that he had had lengthy discussions with the Indian Foreign Minister on various issues. He proposed then it is necessary to postpone next Monday's meeting.

The meeting could take place in the third or last week of June, a foreign ministry official told the media on Saturday afternoon.
