Musa, main accused in Tipu murder case, deported from Oman

Sumon Sikder Musa, the mastermind of the murder of former Motijheel Thana Awami League general secretary Zahidul Islam (Tipu) and the main accused in the murder case, has been brought back to the country.

A team of Bangladesh Police landed with him on a flight at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday morning.

On Wednesday night, a three-member team of police took him from Oman police and moved to Dhaka.

Earlier, the CID in Oman handed him over to the Bangladesh Police.
According to Oman sources, Musa left Dubai for Oman on May 7 and was arrested on May 11 while immigrating to Hatta Border on his way from Oman to Dubai. His home is in Anwara upazila of Chittagong.

Tipu was shot dead near Amtala Jame Mosque in Shahjahanpur around 10:15 pm on March 24.
