Cabinet approves Tk 6,78,064 crore budget

The cabinet has approved the proposed budget of Tk 6,78,064 crore for the fiscal year 2022-23.

The approval was given at a cabinet meeting held at the parliament building on Thursday noon.

Earlier, the special meeting was held at 12 noon in the cabinet room on the second floor of the west block of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

The cabinet members took part in it under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Every year a special cabinet meeting is held on the day the budget is announced and the budget is approved.
