Two killed in truck-auto-rickshaw collision

Two persons were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and an auto-rickshaw at Nandigram in Bogra on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Khaleq, 65, and Bablu Mia, 50.

Four more people, including the auto-rickshaw driver, were injured in the incident.

Nandigram Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Tariqul Islam said a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw was heading towards Nandigram from Ranbagha Bazar in Singra Upazila. 

When it reached near Omarpur bus stand around 11am, it collided head-on with an oncoming truck, leaving two passengers of the CNG-powered auto-rickshaw dead on the spot and four others injured.

The injured were admitted to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

Sub-inspector Tariqul Islam said truck and an auto-rickshaw were seized. A case will be filed in this incident.
