162 new COVID cases, no deaths

Bangladesh has reported 162 COVID-19 cases in one day, bringing the total number of infections to 1,954,405 so far.

However, no additional fatalities were reported during the 24-hour period, leaving the disease's death toll at 29,131, per the most recent government data made public on Tuesday.

Up to 4,552 samples were analyzed nationwide, yielding a 3.56 percent positivity rate.

With 153 infections, Dhaka has the most cases out of the eight divisions.
