New Delhi to host 7th round of Bangladesh-India JCC meet

Officials said the 7th round of the Bangladesh-India Joint Consultative Commission (JCC) meeting will take place here tomorrow to discuss a variety of bilateral problems.

The meeting will be co-chaired by Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen and Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, according to MEA sources.

Momen got here on Friday to attend the JCC, which is the first physical conference since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the previous edition taking place virtually in 2020.

However, a MEA statement said that the issues including border management, security, trade and investment, connectivity, energy, water resources, development partnership and regional and multilateral issues will also be discussed.

As part of his three-day India visit, Foreign Minister Momen will join a function styled "Interactive Business Meeting" being jointly organised by Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
