Advance train tickets for Eid from 1 July

Bangladesh Railway will start selling train tickets in advance from July 1, ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan made the announcement at a press conference at Rail Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday.

The minister said that the advance tickets for July 5, 6, 7, and 8 would go on sale July 1, 2, 3, and 5, respectively.

A traveler may purchase up to four tickets, he noted.

Eid-ul-Adha, the 2nd largest religious festival of Muslims, will be celebrated on July 10, subject to the appearance of the moon.
