Nationwide Covid booster dose campaign begins

A week-long special drive to deliver the Covid-19 booster dose commenced on Saturday with the goal of inoculating over one crore people around the country.

"The campaign began at 9 a.m. on Saturday. It will be on display till June 10th" said sources at Directorate General of Health Services.

According to him, the government has taken this endeavor to cover over one crore individuals, despite the fact that around four crore citizens are still waiting for the booster dose.

According to the Health Services Division, the booster doses will be administered in 16,181 centres across the country. Of these, 623 are permanent centres while 15,558 are temporary ones.
According to officials, the initiative has enlisted the help of 45,535 health workers and volunteers. Adults who have had their second dosage within the last four months are eligible for a booster shot.
