Three-way collision in Rajbari leaves 6 dead

Six people were dead in a three-way collision – involving a truck, a private car and an easy bike – in Rajbari's Kalukhali upazila this morning.

The accident happened in front of the local fire service station on Rajbari-Kushtia regional highway in Chandpur area around 9:15am today (June 1, 2022).

All the deceased – three women, two children and one man – were passengers of the easy bike.

The identities of the deceased were not known yet. Several people who sustained injuries are receiving treatment at Kalukhali Upazila Health Complex and Rajbari Sadar Hospital.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalukhali Police Station Nazmul Hasan confirmed the incident.

He said that three people died on the spot and three others succumbed to their injuries while being taken to the hospital.

The trucker and his helper fled the scene.
