Budget session begins Sunday

The budget session of the fiscal year 2022-23 will begin at the parliament on Sunday.

Finance Minister AHM Musfataf Kamal will present the budget for FY 2022-23 on June 9, said sources at the parliament secretariat.

Despite the fact that the budget session was truncated the previous two years because to the Covid-19 outbreak, sources say it will run normally this time because the situation has practically back to normal.

Media personnel will be allowed to enter and cover the parliament session in person.

President M Abdul Hamid on May 18, convened the session of the 11th parliament.

The 17th session of the parliament was prorogued on April 9.
